rename to wraparound (gaming)[edit]

Since this concept isn't just limited to video games, but also appears in some board games, I think a rename is appropriate. —Eekerz (t) 12:44, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wraparound (video games)Wraparound (gaming) – concept is not just limited to video games; see talk page Hank Benson (talk) 12:24, 17 October 2022 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). – Ammarpad (talk) 06:55, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article as it reads today makes no mention of non-video game usage. The talk page comment you are referring to dates back to 2010, with no discussion since. 162 etc. (talk) 15:50, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure it counts as discussion in 2010, but this should probably go to WP:RM as per WP:PCM. Kj cheetham (talk) 15:52, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Strong Oppose Video Game is the standard disambiguation for all video-game related articles. This is chosen based on the most notable form of the media, which in this instance, is the video game(s)PerryPerryD Talk To Me 16:43, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This is still most prominent in video games. JIP | Talk 13:26, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - unless the article can be expanded, changing the scope to gaming would only serve to confuse any reader who looks for the non-video game content. ASUKITE 16:25, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Topic is entirely defined and sourced in the context of video games. No sourcing or context is proposed for other uses, and such could be a minor mention without the topic being renamed besides. @PerryPerryD: You've misread the topic, this isn't about an individual video game. -- ferret (talk) 17:28, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
