Comments[edit]
Overall, easily GA-class in many areas. I'd prefer to stick to GA-level comments, the few that there are; I'll happily give the article a look if you ping me when (I'm guessing that's a "when"!) this goes to FAC.
- File:Hindenburg statue 1915.jpg; down as a derivative work. The base work seems a bit unclear. Life+70 is used without the author of the original being stated. I don't think User:Sendker did the 1919 original. If you can't find the author, then I suggest you keep it on Wikipedia only under US-1923-abroad (or whatever it's called).
- File:Draft_of_the_Memorial_Church_Tsarskoye_Selo.jpg needs a death date for the author.
- File:Building the National War Memorial.jpg needs a US copyright tag (although PD-1996 should apply; there might be an easier one though). Ditto File:StateLibQld 1 101160.jpg and File:Menin Gate at midnight (Will Longstaff).jpg. Ditto File:Moscow City Brotherly Cemetery 1915.jpg, PD-1923. Ditto File:Vimy Memorial - carving of names.jpg, see File:Great War Memorial Niagara Falls Canada.jpg for that one.
- File:Cenotaph Unveiling, 1920.jpg - British copyright tag needed (life+70, probably; might be corporate owrk which would be fine as well.)
- File:Ieper Menenpoort R01.jpg: there is no freedom of panorama in Belgium, so we have to ask for the copyright status of the Menin gate. I'd be prepared to accept pretty much any reasoning you can give me for what status it holds. ("creator or designer" + 70, commons thinks)
- Prose generally good, but Importance of the names even more important in France.? [Some of the phrasing is slightly overcomplicated, with lots of semicolons and that sort of thing, from an FAC perspective.]
- Sourcing excellent; coverage excellent.
Not much to do, really. Grandiose (me, talk, contribs) 21:26, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
