Someone should add a picture of the current Willie the Wildcat in the "Willie the Wildcat-Powercat Mascot" section. I just don't know what the copyright licensing would be.

Personally I feel that Powercat should not be added to the Willie the Wildcat section and I wish K-State would return to the old Willie the Wildcat for its mascot. "My comment was not a comment on a new Powercat section or being added to a Mascot section--only that Powercat is not Willie the Wildcat and I liked the old Willie."

Hmmm... since this is an encyclopedia, it doesn't really matter what people "want" to do but what matters is "what is" and "what was" ... with that, photos of both "styles" of Willie the Wildcat (and any other historical ones) would be a welcome addtion to this page.--Paul McDonald 17:12, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's the difference between this Willie and NU's? Italicized "the"? It appears from most of this article that KSU's mascot is predominantly known as "Willie Wildcat", whereas NU's is in fact "Willie the Wildcat". I'd recommend renaming this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.204.221.37 (talk) 23:34, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong. K-State calls the mascot "Willie the Wildcat". Take it from an alum.Topgun530 (talk) 23:42, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone should probably replace the picture of Willie that shows him with a young Wildcat fan. It looks like he's in front of the Cat Tracker party bus. In 2006, a man on the top deck of this double-decker bus was hit in the head and killed when the bus went under a bridge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blair424 (talkcontribs) 12:57, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
