Children of William the Hardy: The Scotsweb article on Galbraith [1] states Sir Arthur Galbraith, fifth chief of the clan, supported Robert the Bruce and also married a sister of 'the Good' Sir James Douglas. This marriage is also stated by Stirnet [2]. Sadly, the name of the daughter is not given in either instance. ~~ Hweha ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hweha (talkcontribs) 01:34, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First, it needs to be proved Sir. James Douglas had a sister or half-sister. Secondly Sir Arthur Galbraith, if a son of William Galbraith (as indicated on Stirnet) would have entered into a consanguineous/affinal marriage if he married a daughter of William 'le Hardi', Lord of Douglas. There are too many problems with this suggested connection, enticing as it might be. Bearpatch (talk) 15:26, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
