I'd really like to add on to this article to improve the overall history of politics in Prince George's County and the state of Maryland. I can clean it up ASAP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eli.pousson (talkcontribs) --Orange Mike | Talk 19:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for keeping it around a little while longer. I'll add in text citations and expand on the notability of Gullet as a Maryland politician.96.240.136.153 (talk) 20:52, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I originally put a speedy-delete tag on this article, but on second consideration, I think the subject is notable due to the office he held. An executive (particularly the first) of Prince George's County should be pretty much notable by default, owing to the county's size and notability as a major part of metro Washington. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:33, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While this article is a stub and needs expansion, its subject's notability is apparently confirmed based on the following criteria items from WP:BIO:

The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field.
Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage. Generally speaking, mayors are likely to meet this criterion, as are members of the main citywide government or council of a major metropolitan city.

As such, I'm removing the "notability" template from the article. —Adavidb 11:36, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
