The result of the move request was: Canadian politician moved. (Canadian politician) is a partial disambiguation, given that there are two Canadian politicians with this name. There are also two New York politicians with the same name, so (U.S. politician) would be an incomplete disambiguation, since (New York politician) is also an incomplete dab. Not moved. wbm1058 (talk) 04:00, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

– The Ontario politician should be analogous to William Murray (New Brunswick politician), while the New York politician should be analogous, in his national identity, to William Murray (Australian politician) {it may be noted that the form "U.S. politician" appears to be more frequently used than the form "American politician"}. Although we do have another New York politician, William J. Murray (politician), his qualifier disambiguates him from William Murray (author) whose current main header is simply William J. Murray. A number of other American politicians named "William Murray" are disambiguated via their middle names or initials. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 18:47, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
