Was his name ever April Ellison?[edit]

When I re wrote the page due to a copyright issue I only did a cursory investigation. It is possible the name he used as a slave was not Ellison. Geo8rge (talk) 21:42, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

slave owner[edit]

It should be mentioned in the first paragraph that he was a slave owner. Seems to be the major reason that he should have a page, "A freed Negro that owned over a hundered slaves" 24.112.193.54 (talk) 20:17, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cruelty[edit]

This (https://pjmedia.com/columns/kevindowneyjr/2021/06/19/slave-stories-history-forgot-black-people-owned-slaves-too-n1455761) clearly opinionated article claims that his cruelty was well known. Kdammers (talk) 05:28, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It’s so hilarious to come back year after year and now decade to decade just to see the edits of HIStory evolve. When I was in elementary school in the 80’s, everyone with brown/ copper colored skin were former slaves. In the 90’s all were descendants of slaves. By the 2000’s only the talented 10th were now free, still helpless though. Around 2010, a handful served in a few wars, mostly beside their all powerful pale skin masters.. Then, unbeknownst to all including the great and powerful many started looking into various primary sources to include their own personal story from Big Momma and Big Daddy and I’ll be darn…. The truth may be hard to swallow and for sure stomach for many, but it will set you free. Learn YOURstory because HIS is simply and dadbern fairy tale that for whatever reason everyone wants YOU to believe. I wonder why 💪🏽🏹✌🏽👍🏽❤️[edit]
