@Revirvlkodlaku: I removed the hyphenation from Sharpe's nationality because I saw no reliable sources calling him "Japanese-English". He was born in London; and, although he lived in Japan for his early childhood, he has apparently lived and worked in the UK ever since. It therefore seemed inappropriate to suggest, by adding the "Japanese-", that he was of dual nationality. I see that you re-added the "Japanese". @AleatoryPonderings: I didn't have any reliable source either, I replaced it because that's what it had said earlier, before I ever saw the article, and he is in fact ethnically Japanese and speaks the language. Revirvlkodlaku, I've added that source to the article. Still a bit reluctant to say "Japanese-English" because that source doesn't explicitly state it; Sharpe himself identifies as "half-Japanese" (per the interview). I would still prefer "English" or "British" for the lead sentence because Will Sharpe is a half-Japanese actor sounds very odd and Will Sharpe is a Japanese-English actor strikes me as original research. AleatoryPonderings Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I actually don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean, if the actor self-identifies as half Japanese, presumably the other half being English, then I would say that's good enough, and if this turns out to be inaccurate, it can be changed later on. In the 'personal life' section, the first sentence speaks about Will's brother - the second sentence states, 'He has type two bipolar disorder'. It's unclear who 'he' is - Will Sharpe, or Will's brother. I presume it means Will, but it reads as his brother.
Many thanks for changing that - I didn't want to do it personally as I wasn't sure enough in my presumption. I've just re-watched the second series of Flowers, which along with the first series is a brilliant dark comedy that very competently explores mental ill health in the wonderfully dysfunctional setting of a typically atypical rural British family. Discovering that Will Sharpe lives with bipolar disorder makes Flowers all the more poignant and explains how & why Will was able to create it so perfectly. Also, I want to add that the discussion (above) around how to describe Will's nationality strikes me as rather ludicrous. He was born in the UK with a Japanese mother, spent his childhood until age 8 living in Japan, and since then has been educated and lives permanently in the UK. While I would agree with you on the nationality point, cultural nationality is generally not expressed in a Wikipedia article as it is not an objective point. Legal nationality, on the other hand, is objective, and this is why it can be a point of contention when it isn't possible to demonstrate it using a citation.
