Obvious mistake[edit]

"There is a 3-stage corner tower at the south end of the Hall, with an octagonal belfry and a short spire."

This is taken verbatim from the online source description by English Heritage. However, an obvious mistake has been made by the compilers of the source material. Any casual glance at the building reveals that there are two such towers at the southern end of the building. They are identical in appearance and symmetrically flank the gable end of the building.
