Peer Revision of the White House Conference on Aging[edit]

Great job on the organization of the article. It has a clear purpose and your sources clearly identify where your information was gathered. But after reading it I still had some questions and suggestions on how to improve. First off, what is the responsibility of presidents in the meetings? As later in the article you said that it was a slight against the meeting when George W. Bush did not make an address. Also did this committee, without explicitly saying so, come to fruition because of the anticipated overload of the baby boomer generation? Or was it a coincidence that the act gained momentum at the same time? Maybe go into detail about the first conference with a subheading, detailing the findings in the first ever “White House Conference on Aging”. Nice job on the associated events, if one is looking up this act, there is surely going to be interest on similar conferences and acts. As far as congressional power, how much “say” does this conference actually have in passing legislation and what steps must they take to do so? Is the first elderly resolution/committee of its kind? And if so, will there continue to be amendments made for generation Y and X? Hope these suggestions help and overall this is a great article-very in depth and knowledgable.
