History[edit]

The history of this shopping centre, as detailed on the Westfield site, is incomplete. In the late 80s there was a substantial redevelopment that was completed not long before the 28 Decemeber 1989 Newcastle earthquake that resulted in damage to the newly redeveloped centre. I haven't added this to the article because I can't find a citation for it. --AussieLegend 14:58, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you're in Newcastle, it might be worth getting out the history books (especially any on the earthquake) and seeing if they've got any info on it. I've been able to get quite a bit of history for the Canberra shopping centers from our history books, though I haven't put it in the articles yet. Rebecca 10:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
