Proposed move to West Rand[edit]

With the abolition of cross-border municipalities, and the apparent transfer of towns like Carletonville to the North West, it seems inaccurate to still call this article West Rand, Gauteng. 168.209.98.35 19:23, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than there, we have proposed to move it to West Rand District Municipality, according to the conventions we are establishing at Wikipedia:WikiProject_South_African_municipalities#Tasks. -Kieran 12:17, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But wouldn't a move to West Rand District Municipality also be innacurate, since parts of the West Rand are now part of the Southern District Municipality in the North-West Province? I would suggest that decoupling the municipality from the geographic region might be a better way to go. 168.209.98.35 21:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
