Use as a school[edit]

In the fifities West Dean House was rented out by James to a private school, Wispers (which incidentally closed earlier this year). 81.156.124.251 (talk) 17:12, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edward James[edit]

Interesting that Edward is not mentioned in the peerage [1] as son of William Dodge James and Evelyn Elisabeth Forbes; four daughters are mentioned. It would be good if the article could reconcile its assertions. This mysterious page does mention Edward. This page mentions 'Edward Frank Willis James', which doesn't jive with the full name listed in the Edward James article.
Also the often-repeated claim that WDJ was a 'railroad magnate' from America never mentions a railroad name; the few sources I've found say no more than 'businessman'. Twang (talk) 02:04, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
