The old Sydenham station[edit]

I presume that the old Sydenham station was served by VLine trains before electric trains were extended to Watergardens. Is this right? (I don't know, I haven't lived in Melbourne for nearly two decades). If this is the case, it might be worth mentioning in the article. Alternatively, was the old Sydenham station ever served by electric trains before it was replaced by Watergardens? Does anybody know when the new station opened? Are there any shops or anything near the station or is it just surrounded by houses? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.153.2.2 (talkcontribs) 05:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
