Fair use rationale for Image:Thor Blood Oath 5.jpg[edit]

Image:Thor Blood Oath 5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Kree-Skrull War[edit]

I know this might be a weird question, but did the W3 assist in the Kree-Skrull war? Lots42 (talk) 23:39, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

membership[edit]

In the "Thor" box, why is the Queen of Asgard given as a third of the Warriors Three? Particularly when Fandral is the partner of Hogun and Volstagg... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.252.194.54 (talk) 03:53, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Warriors Four[edit]

I'm trying to track down a certain storyline. During a time when Odin has turned cruel and despotic, the Warriors Three are part of a very loose underground resistance. An Asgardian castle guard joins with them for several issues, becoming a good friend to all three. If/when this is tracked down, this should be added in. Lots42 (talk) 23:06, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The guard is Arko. Thor (vol.1) # 423 (1990). More information is available on [1].--Crazy runner (talk) 18:40, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pyramid comics[edit]

The other day I found a small press ('Pyramid Comics') series called Warriors Three. Definitely not to be confused with these guys. Lots42 (talk) 03:15, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Three Musketeers?[edit]

Does anyone know if the Warriors Three were inspired by the Three Musketeers? You've got the dashing, romantic one (Fandral/Aramis), the brooding, secretive one (Hogun/Athos) and the large, boisterous one (Volstagg/Porthos).86.132.247.182 (talk) 12:25, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure about the Three Musketeers but Fandral was inspired by Errol Flynn, Hogun was inspired by Charles Bronson and Volstagg was inspired by Falstaff.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:47, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Although the visual images of the three may have been modeled on those actors, their characters certainly were modeled on the Three Musketeers with Thor as d'Artagnan. 67.177.33.99 (talk) 02:33, 22 October 2012 (UTC) 67.177.33.99 (talk) 02:24, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg be merged into Warriors Three. The majority of the content in the four pages is the same, with only the Volstagg page having some small differences, which can easily be covered on the Warriors Three page. The scope of the pages don't really extend beyond the concept of the Warriors Three, as the characters rarely appear in a context other than the group setting. And merging the pages will not cause any real issues in terms of article length, as most of the content is merely duplicated on all four pages. -Fandraltastic (talk) 05:53, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would disagree. While I believe the articles require work, I think the characters have enough rich history on their own to merit individual articles. For example, Volstagg's children organized a resistance effort involving the New Mutant whens Hela was making a march on Asgard. In an older incident, Hogun once took on Loki all by himself, though he thought it would lead to certain death. Sif protected saved him. Lots42 (talk) 15:09, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It might be reasonable to trim out some of the repeated material from the character articles, and cut it down to the parts that are more important for the individual characters themselves. 24.12.74.21 (talk) 16:38, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The Fandral and Hogun articles are nothing but repeated material, and the Volstagg article has maybe a small paragraph worth of solo stuff in it. None of their solo stuff seems to have any sort of notability outside of a small mention here or there. -Fandraltastic (talk) 16:56, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Fandraltastic.--Crazy runner (talk) 17:09, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it a lack of information or a lack of information currently presented?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:28, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Both, as far as I can tell. They have had the occasional solo appearance (Volstagg more often than the other two) but nothing that couldn't be covered in a sentence or two in this article, where appropriate. -Fandraltastic (talk) 17:32, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Lots42 on his claim. If the decision for the merge goes through, then the membership sections will have to be added with the individual histories and solo parts like the contributers should do when the members of the U-Foes that got merged into the U-Foes page should have their individual histories. Future Versions[edit]

In one of the Guardians of the Galaxy futures (Vol 1, #42, November 1993) the Warriors Three are still operating in Asgard. Lots42 (talk) 15:06, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
