Creation[edit]

I created this page so that the primary article called Walk of Life was the one about the Dire Straits song. I think that is the most famous song of that name. -Wikiwikiwoolgar (talk) 10:29, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dire Straits[edit]

I think that Walk of Life by Dire Straits is the most popular song with name Walk of Life and one of the most popular songs ever, I recommend to make this site about a song of Dire Straits, not about album by Billie Piper. Cistimsi (talk) 00:16, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I usually don't read discussion pages on Wikipedia, but as I'm drunk, I really think that yes, you are absolutely right. Walk of Life by Dire Straits is an absolute classic, and it deserves to be the article linked to when typing in "Walk of Life". --132.199.216.180 (talk) 23:44, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. -Wikiwikiwoolgar (talk) 10:34, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dire Straits Song[edit]

How is this in any way more notable than the Dire Straits song of the same name? Walk_of_Life_(Dire_Straits_song) Significantly more popular, instantly recognisable melody, and rather more historically notable than Piper's album.

I'd say that, at worst, this deserves a Disambiguation Page rather than the current state of affairs.

And done. -Wikiwikiwoolgar (talk) 10:34, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Only taking a break?[edit]

"Piper subsequently decided to take a break from the music industry and concentrate on acting."

So she plans to come back to our pop charts sometime? That's news to me.... -- Smjg 5 July 2005 09:17 (UTC)

More than twelve tracks[edit]

This album has more than twelve tracks. My copy has 17 songs. I could scan and upload the backside of the album if needed? I will add the rest of the songs to the page. Please contact me if you think this is incorrect. Cheers The ball 11:09, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the copy you have is probably not official. There were 3 different tracklists for this album. UK+EU (The same as on this page minus anything past track 12), Asia/Pacific (The same as UK+EU plus First Love). Japan's tracklist is radically different as it was released months earlier in July 00 and substitutes Bring It On and What Game Is This for Makin' My Way (Any Way That I Can) and First Love respectively. The Japanese album also has earlier versions of Somethin Deep Inside (radically different from other versions), Walk Of Life and Because Of You.
