1967: Winnipeg cable connection[edit]

Was there a relationship between WDAZ going on the air in 1967 and the introduction of cable to Winnipeg in 1967? Did WDAZ essentially rely on Winnipeg advertisers in earlier years? --PsychoJason 09:12, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The signal from Fordville only reaches so far into Manitoba. CITI, Was--Spiddy 00:08, 2 March 2007 (UTC) the most powerful FM station in the world, can't even be heard in Grand Forks. My bet is that WDAZ wasn't available in Winnipeg until the advent of cable -- a cable between them and Winnipeg. Should I add information on the "Emo" story, since it gave WDAZ national exposure via YouTube [1][2] and eBaumsWorld [3].

WDAZ-DT2 CW[edit]

I know some TV listings have WDAZ-DT2 as a CW affiliate, but it is incorrect. I have a digital TV and there isn't a 8-2 (just a 8-1), though WDAY-TV has The CW on digital (6-2). I contacted the station, and they also say it is incorrect.--milk the cows (Talk) 21:12, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
