Name of professorship[edit]

I find 'formerly Vinerian Professorship of Common Law' hard to understand. Was there an existing professorship of common law, which was renamed 'English Law' in accordance with Viner's wishes? Snugglepuss (talk) 17:41, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
