Move to 'Vine Weevil'[edit]

In keeping with Wikipedia's policy on using common names, should this page be mpved to Vine Weevil? It certainly didn't show up on a Google search for vine weevil. Francis Hannaway (talk) 19:40, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page may be a suitable candidate for a move, though it has previously been moved the other way, from 'Black vine weevil' to the current title. With its current title I found it came up on page 2 of a google search for 'vine weevil', which isn't bad, though a casual look at article viewing figures suggests the article had slightly more pageviews when it was titled 'Black vine weevil'. The question with moving to a common name is one of precision: does 'Vine weevil' describe the article subject without ambiguity? Otiorhynchus sulcatus is specifically the black vine weevil; I don't know if there are other species also called 'vine weevil'. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 03:16, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Unless someone objects, I will make a BOLD move. — kashmīrī TALK 21:55, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
