NPOV[edit]

This article reads like an advertisement. Probably because most of this is ripped straight off the press releases available on web page. I've toned down some of the language ("music from the best video games").Shaolin Samurai 05:34, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like the article has been cleaned up quite a bit in the last year. While there is undoubtedly still a fair amount it can be cleaned up, I don't think it's deserving of an "advert" tag anymore. Does anyone else feel the same way? --Cecilkorik 08:56, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This article needs to be toned down a lot. I vivited this "concert" in Hamburg, and it was nowthing to write home about. It was plackback, with cringy video segments, not even synced to the music. And maybe US audiences enjoy listening to a clown with an electric guitar during a concert, but german audience surly did not: [1]https://www.eventim.de/artist/video-games-live/
The article does the same like the guitar guy on stage: Telling everybody how awsome everything is, how much the played, how many games covered etc. But it should be mentioned that this is NOT a real concert, more a "show" of questionable quality. Citation Needed?[edit]

What's with all of the "Citation Needed" notes? They're everywhere and I can't even read the article anymore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.54.13.115 (talk) 19:52, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it just me, or would it be hard for this not to read as an advertisement? Until they aren't currently doing a concert, you can't report on statistics. It reads fine to me, so I think it should just need to be cleaned up and conformed. Saying it reads like an advert is true of almost anything providing information. I mean, one could say the page on black powder and gunpowder advertise how to make it seeing as they tell you the ratio's of Charcoal, Sulfur, and Saltpeter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.121.213.59 (talk) 02:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guitar Hero Aerosmith "Interactive Segment"[edit]

I was in attendance on May 16th in Calgary where the man who won the Guitar Hero contest played Sweet Emotion on Expert and got something like 267,000 points; Tommy Tallarico announced he thinks it to be the highest score at the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kpalsm (talkcontribs) 10:49, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I won the contest in the edmonton show on May 18th in Edmonton and I was the one who scored 305,000. The prizes on this page are nothing like the ones they gave away. I got a couple CDs, a DVD, $100 gift certificate, and a shirt. I wish I got a laptop. I can provide photos if needed. Haggarduser (talk) 02:41, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jack Wall[edit]

Has Wall left the show? The website seems to indicate that... --67.168.160.239 (talk) 20:02, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So updated. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 02:53, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

So I've undone this edit for a number of reasons, but primarily because it's a combination of original research and poorly sourced. More specifically: neither Reddit nor Facebook can be considered a reliable source in this context. The AFM link overstretches into original research, because all that page says is "Please be advised that the following touring theatrical productions are traveling without an AFM Touring Agreement" and that was taken to mean "however been criticized by musicians for hiring non-unionized musicians at substandard rates". Hardmode.org, being a self-published blog, also can't be used. Happy to get this text in, but only if we can get better sourcing. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 03:55, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
