Please correct articles accordingly:

Queen Julia Napelakapuokaka'e Kapi'olani also known as Kapi'olani-II. Princess Virginia Kapo'oloku Po'omaikelani also known as Po'omaikelani-II. Princess Mary Kinoiki Kekaulike also known as Kinoiki-II <Probate & Obituary> Pilialoha63 (talk) 00:56, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That is compared to many references that her name was Victoria. She is listed in Hawaiian legislature roster as Princess Victoria Kinoiki Kekaulike, the Governess of Hawaii. Plus you said that Kapiolani's name was Julia which is actually not true. Kapiolani western name was Esther. Many newspaper and writing sometimes mismatch and screw up some of the name of the Hawaiian royalites.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 04:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly Hawaiians used different names, but we need specific sources. The Smithsonian only gives her name as "mother of Prince Cupid, David, and Edward". Interesting that I was unable to find any entry at all for her in the Hawaii Archives here under the various names I tried, but she is in the list of governors as just "Princess Kekaulike" just no individual record. There actually is a death record for a "Mary Kinoiki Kekaulike" but not sure it is the same person. There is a divorce record for a " Maria K Kekaulike", but not sure if this one ever got divorced. The only marriage record has her name "Kinoiki" and husband as "Davida H. Piikoi". The 1955 newspaper articles call her "Kekaulike-Kinoike II" note the "e" at the end instead of "i". The problem is a lot of sources only refer to her as Princess Kekaulike or Kinoiki (Kinoike) Kekaulike without any western name like her sister Kapiolani and Poomaikelani. But her names is already used by her mother. The "i" form is more prevalent in sources, so I used that form. I strike the statement I made above about many references that her name was Victoria. Many others called her Mary also and her sister Poomaikelani as Victoria. This is really confusing. It would really help there is an expert on this subject. --KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:06, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
