A/VCDS during VAdm Norman investigation[edit]

During the investigation of VAdm Norman, and before the appointment of a new VCDS, no one who is acting as VCDS in a temporary capacity should be listed in the "former VCDS" list. Acting appointments happen on an extremely regular basis within the CAF, and are not recognized as a person "taking over" a position. This case just happens to be in the glaring spotlight so everyone knows about it.

WP:BOLD. I'm going to remove VAdm Lloyd from the list since he was only A/VCDS. I'm also going to write a short explanation in the intro which can be easily removed once the situation with the VCDS returns to normal.

Lt.-Gen. Frances Allen[edit]

According to the CBC report here on June 14, 2021, "Maj.-Gen. B.F. Frawley has been named acting vice chief of the defence staff after Rouleau's departure. Lt.-Gen. Frances Allen will take on the role on a permanent basis in the coming weeks, Eyre confirmed." This suggests that Frances J. Allen did not take over as VCDS on 9 March 2021. Her appt was announced then, but presumably to take effect at a later date. -- Blairall (talk) 04:23, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
