North Beach category[edit]

I removed mention of North Beach, as well as the corresponding North Beach, San Francisco category, because the cafe does not appear to be within the boundaries of North Beach. Please ping me with replies, or if you disagree. Thanks! ---Another Believer _(Talk) 22:59, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see your good-faith edits moving it to Chinatown as it is technically right on the border of the North Beach neighborhood. However the cultural area does extend further South, all the way to Washingon Street in fact. Moreover, their website begins "This world-renowned San Francisco saloon located in North Beach...." I can also provide the local perspective that nobody here would ever refer to that stretch as Chinatown, even if a few short feet down its alley would be. I know it can be confusing looking at a map but San Francisco is absurdly neighborhoody, the area can change drastically in the span of a block or even less. Lastly, the Wikipedia page for North Beach itself links to Vesuvio under the "See Also".

I'm going to fix the Location: and Category: but will leave the topic sentence as-is for now, we might want to add some more of these details to further clarify. Brianmarx (talk) 10:40, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Help with coordinates[edit]

Part of the problem may be that the coordinates for this article seem to be incorrect. When I click on the coordinates and view the pin on Google Maps, the cafe appears to be on the north/east side of Columbus. But Google Maps itself says the cafe is on the south/west side of the street. Is someone able to double check the coordinates? ---Another Believer _(Talk) 21:19, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bpfastball, On what authority? All content all Wikipedia should be sourced appropriately. I am not doubting your personal experience and knowledge, but we need to make sure information can be verified by readers. Please add sources, otherwise your changes will be reverted.
