Untitled[edit]

I don't think Schillinger would be diagnosed as a sociopath. There are several cases where you can see he does care about other people: e.g. when he has to kick his lieutenant out of the Brotherhood because of gum grafts from a non-white person, he is clearly torn up about. Even his treatment of his sons can be seen as a warped attempt to look after them.

Can you clean?[edit]

The very last sentence of the article (after the external links) is obviously misplaced. I don't know enough about this subject to fix it myself. ike9898 18:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

name pronunciation; hatred of homosexuals[edit]

The article doesn't mention Schillinger's irritation at the mispronunciation of his name. If I recall correctly, he insists it's "Schilling-ur", not "Schillin-jur". (Or the other way around.) He doesn't kill anyone over it, but he cares. (I fixed this on 6/1/2009.)

There is no irony in hating homosexuals and raping men, because the two have no necessary relationship. (Roman males, for example, weren't comfortable with male homosexuality, but commonly sodomized their male servants.) Regardless, I don't remember Schillinger ever saying he hated homosexuals. If he did, it would be a good idea to specify the episode.

Schillinger is an interesting character precisely because he isn't stupid. He's smart enough to be aware he's (at least) bisexual. It's obvious he doesn't rape men just to humiliate them; he plainly enjoys active sodomy. He and Keller are old friends, and when Keller gropes him (and I think kisses him -- CMIIW), Schillinger says "You've got a week to stop doing that." In a violent environment where almost everything that happens is public knowledege, it wouldn't be a good idea to say you hated queers, then kiss other men. Fair use rationale for Image:Ozschillinger.jpg[edit]

Image:Ozschillinger.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

404 on bio page[edit]

Did HBO nuke the bio pages? Is there a suitable replacement? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.239.45.4 (talk) 00:51, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where is consensus/ discussion to redirect?[edit]

It appears that User:Niemti turned this article into a redirect to Oz (television series) last month, but the article was in place for some time, and I don't see any discussion or consensus for this change. Shouldn't this go through a formal discussion (i.e. WP:AFD) before such a move? Boogerpatrol (talk) 21:52, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:N, WP:V, WP:OR, and welcome to Wikipedia. (And that "for some time", that is since 2005, all these articles were never made anything more than a mirror of Oz Wikia is just a final argument to rid of that crap. Some of them are/were even literally 2 sentences long, and under 1KB.) --Niemti (talk) 23:36, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
