Lazio???[edit]

  • Are we sure that he is at Lazio? Or is he at the U-21 of Lazio? --sulmues (talk) 17:57, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vasil ShkurtajVassilis Skourtis — The only source says 'Vassilis Skourtis' beeing of dual nationality. Alexikoua (talk) 22:11, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... and here you have a Greek site listing him as Vasil Shkurtaj. kedadial 22:53, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I know his family personally, and his name is Vasil Shkurtaj. When he was playing at Olympiakos because there were no foreign players spot free at the first team they told him to take Greek citizenship so he could be capped. At the same time he played at a match as an Albania U21 player. But then he was capped by Lazio and left Olympiakos and he didn't take Greek citizenship after all. Now he plays at a national level for Albania. Also someone correct the beginning of the article, because he was born in Vlore but when he was a few months old his family moved to Crete. I see that some newspaper made that mistake and all the others copied it. --— ZjarriRrethues — talk 07:24, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also he wasn't born as Vasil but he was baptized in Crete as Vasil.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 07:27, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If someone is born in Albania it doesn't mean he is ethnic Albanian. Anyway, it may be right to leave the present title as per wp:blp, although the sourced material proves the contrary. As far I see he is going to obtain the Greek nationality [[1]] like Pyros Dimas.Alexikoua (talk) 09:08, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
These ones are ethnic Albanians, I know them personally. That post you linked is old from October 2009 and since then he has been capped by the Albanian national team and transferred to Lazio. The article says he refused to play as a player of Albania, but since then he has played in 2 games as a player of the Albanian U21 team.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 12:37, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose the move. Following the new law he is still free to chose to play for Greece. But usually when a player starts with a U-21, it's almost impossible that they change their minds. The move is premature, especially because he's playing with U-21 of Albania as of now, so I vote against it.--sulmues (talk) 20:40, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
