Jordan Misja[edit]

Although Serbian sources mention Jordan Misja as Misic (Slavic origin), Misja originated from Elbsan southern highland known as Shpat region. The last name Misja is pretty common. His nephew (who happen to bear the same name Jordan Misja) has negated more than once any Serbian-origin.

"...because our grandfather, therefore the father of the hero Jordan Misja, named Vangjel Misja is not remembered as an old dweller of Shkodra. Back in time his his origin has been from around Elbasan. Our last name hasn't changed its form "Misja" through the centuries..."
