Untitled[edit]

While undoubtedly curious, I removed the silly translation; "Eindriði skar, mjáfingr, sonr Ólafs á Ló" is so obviously a signature, as suggested by the expert, that it is absurd to mention the other one. I know old Norse. Jjjjc (talk) 15:21, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It could be interesting to know what kind of stave church it is. Most likely it is of the Borgund-type. At last it seems to be so from the outside shape. Ref Borgund stave church and Urnes stave church. The later are on UNESCO's list of world heritage. Agtfjott 22:05, 25 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any source for this claim? I can't seem to find any source, although it is known that I. C. Dahl brokered the deal because the church was in good shape. Which somewhat contradicts the sale in the first hand. — John Erling Blad (jeb) 01:35, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The church was never transformed into a catholic one, even today in catholic Poland it still serves as a lutheran church. Rüdiger Sander 20:43, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
