Combine with article 'Valentina Schlee'[edit]

I just posted a note on the talk page Talk:Valentina_Schlee proposing that these articles be combined. My note also references a new book and museum exhibition on Valentina. If I understand correctly, the other article has the proper title for Wikipedia. Therefore the content from this article should be moved to that article, and this page should be redirected there.

This would be a good time to update this topic, because of the new book as well as an interview on NPR.

There are other Valentinas cited in Wikipedia, so it may be a good idea to start a disambiguation page. This is all beyond my present Wiki-competence so I defer to others. --Gar37bic (talk) 15:28, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Valentina serves as the disambiguation page.
I agree on the merger, but I am uncertain which would be the better title. See Liberace for an example of a one-word professional name being used as the article title. The fact that "Valentina" requires the "fashion designer" subtitle makes it less clear. - PKM (talk) 00:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Merge, with Valentina (fashion designer) as the main page. She simply isn't well-known enough as Valentina Schlee - I knew her as Valentina, which is how she's always referred to in fashion publications, but didn't even know her surname until now. Mabalu (talk) 10:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Merge, I agree with the merge, it does not make sense to have 2 separate articles. Since she was known professionally as "Valentina", and at least some of the references I just quickly looked at show that name, I agree with Mabalu that the article should be titled Valentina (fashion designer). I'll return to this article in a few days and, if no one else has done so, or objects, will do the merge. JeanColumbia (talk) 12:25, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've decided to be bold and merge tday. I will merge all of the material from Valentina Schlee into this article, following the directions at "Full-content paste merger", WP:MergeDup.JeanColumbia (talk) 16:40, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
