Copy editing[edit]

I've been trying to have a go at copyediting this article, but can't really find a place to sink my teeth. To my mind probably the easist way to create an article inline with Wikipedia policies would be to revert back to the raw copy from the official history and transwiki this to Wikisource and start afresh, and citing the official history as a source rather than trying to incoporate it into the article itself.KTo288 21:04, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright Issues[edit]

I have some serious issues with the fact that this article was basically copied from an old government manuscript and just modified from there. There are large chunks of this article that are word for word from that manuscript. Can anyone confirm that this article is not protected in any way, shape, or form by any sort of copyright. Government works obviously are not protected by copyright; however, that does not mean that the government cannot acquire and enforce copyrights on things that it doesn't create.

§ 105. Subject matter of copyright: United States Government works

Copyright protection under this title is not available for any work of the United States Government, but the United States Government is not precluded from receiving and holding copyrights transferred to it by assignment, bequest, or otherwise.

So, can anyone verify that this article is in fact 100% guaranteed not protected by any form of copyright at all. Regardless of whether or not it is protected, we still shouldn't just copy it. lesthaeghet (talk) 05:54, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pov[edit]

This article reads like an offical brief on the history and operations of the Constabulary and has a major pro-American bias. 86.156.129.252 (talk) 20:38, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. Constabulary School QSL card[edit]

I have an amateur radio QSL card from March 1946, sent from Sonthofen to England as confirmation of a radio contact. Would the image be of any use to this page? Dawd (talk) 11:20, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
