Untitled[edit]

The location of the Sarita, Texas, checkpoint is incorrect. The coordinates 27°17′22.17″N 97°48′35.55″W, "5 miles north of Sarita," indicate a truck weigh station in Riviera, Texas, operated by the Texas Department of Public Safety (the "highway patrol"). The location of the United States Border Patrol checkpoint is 14 miles south of Sarita, at 27°0'58"N 97°47'39"W (to the nearest second). You can use Google Maps Street View to view these two exact locations and clearly see that the Border Patrol checkpoint is the one south of Sarita.

El Paso vs. Alamagordo[edit]

While the person who listed the location of the Alamagordo Checkpoint claims it to be in El Paso, the only truth is that the checkpoint is accessed from El Paso via a state border crossing into New Mexico on US 54. I have corrected the entry to reflect the true location, including the actual state where it resides.Rapierman (talk) 22:54, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Locations?[edit]

I know there is one near Wichita, KS. This is over 400 miles from Mexican border, I wonder if it has any authority at all? Yes it is a permanernt checkpoint. A building and all.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.162.93.21 (talk • contribs)

I wouldn't really rely on Wikipedia for legal advice. Perhaps it is not an USBP checkpoint, or perhaps there's something else to the issue, not in the article. I would be curious to hear more for my own edification (eg can you describe the exact location), but I really don't know what is going on. --TeaDrinker (talk) 15:39, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Documentation at checkpoints section[edit]
