Proposed merge of Margarine Unie into Unilever

The subject is notable but the article contains too few details. As is should be trimmed and merged into Unilever. The other companies at the roots of Unilever have entries that are long enough. gidonb (talk) 02:17, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Weak oppose. The subject is important as one of the two main companies which created Unilever. I agree that there are too few details in the article but, in my view, they should be built up and properly sourced. Dormskirk (talk) 10:38, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Oppose As Gidonb says, Margarine Unie is notable, and that is the main issue here. The best chance for someone to come along and do it justice is surely to leave it as it is. NB, there are articles is several other Wikipedias. Moonraker (talk) 17:29, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

Merger of national subsidiaries into this article

This article was nominated for merging with Unilever Indonesia on 7 February 2020. The result of the discussion was to merge it and two other articles relating to overseas subsidies into this one.

I see that WP:PROD templates have been placed on Unilever Indonesia, Unilever Bangladesh Limited and Unilever Ghana. The articles should not be deleted (in particular the Indonesian company seems very notable) so I will remove the deletion proposals, but it might be a good idea to merge the content into a section of this article covering the various national subsidiaries. Merge Bangladeshi subsidiary – I haven't examined the Indonesian or Ghanaian subsidiaries, and express no opinion about them, but there is insufficient coverage of the Bangladeshi subsidiary independent of the parent company to justify a stand-alone article. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:26, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Merge. I was initially unsure as they appear to be associated companies not wholly-owned subsidiaries, but in spite of this I think they it is better to merge them here. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:03, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
Merge - If these articles were merged as sections or subsections of the main article it would be easy to separate them again later - should the need arise. So I suggest merging them, but not pulling them apart in the process. Chris Jefferies (talk) 09:01, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
Merge - None of them seem to be eligible for a standalone article at this point. The sourced material can be merged under appropriate subsections. Though, I would suggest merging Unilever Australasia into this articles as well, besides the ones that have already been mentioned above. Keivan.f^Talk 06:36, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
