The Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer clearly states his name in every episode as "Keyrock". Snltranscripts.jt.org is not affiliated with Saturday Night Live or NBC (they say so on their front page). Their transcripts can be submitted by anyone and that particular transcript has no author associated with it. This is an example of a flaw in Wikipedia: references don't get checked for reliability, so any reference can become the basis for fact. Then the wiki-fact gets propagated through the internet.

The pronunciation for Cirroc is with an "S" sound for the first "C", not a "K" sound. Cirroc comes from Amharic for the word "Strength" (also terror). Cirroc was believed to be an Egyptian god, he was a Pharaoh in the late 400's B.C.75.82.224.50 (talk) 19:37, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious[edit]

The "mere country lawyer" character who plays up his simplicity while outwitting his rival predates Matlock. A "mere common lawyer" featured in a 1614 poem by Thomas Overbury. If Jack Handy says he had Matlock in mind, that's one thing, but without an external source, I'm dubious. Cnilep (talk) 06:33, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fake sponsors?[edit]

Is it necessary to list all his fake corporate sponsors? And if so, why does the punchlines of those jokes have to be listed twice in their entirety? For such a short article, a good deal Ian literally repeated information.

Inspiration[edit]

According to this official SNL YouTube video, "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer" aired as part of season 17 of SNL, which premiered on September 28, 1991. Ötzi the Iceman was discovered in the Alps on September 19, 1991. Did Ötzi inspire the skit?? Seems plausible, but I haven't found any sources. Tophtucker (talk) 22:47, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
