Post Deployments[edit]

I served aboard Threadfin from Jan 1970 until it was sold to Turkey. I led a small team that stayed for a month after the turnover to help the transition to the Turkish Navy. During that time I made two deployments to the Mediterranean. This contradicts the article that said the Threadfin did not make any deployments in her later years. As part of Submarine Sqd 12 in Key West, she was extremely active up until her final days as a US Submarine. In fact the news to turn the submarine over to Turkey came while deployed to the Mediterranean in the summer of 72. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.211.39 (talk) 20:37, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bay of Pigs[edit]

The article on the Bay of Pigs Invasion says that Threadfin was involved. I have been unable to find a source. GA-RT-22 (talk) 22:25, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
