DANFS[edit]

Folks, I believe there is a factual error in this article. It states that the USS O'Bannon was torpedoed during the Battle of Vella Lavella. I believe this is incorrect. The USS O'Bannon article in Wikipedia does not mention this event. Neither do any other articles, particularly the DANFS article. These articles mention that USS O'Bannon was damaged in the collision with USS Chevalier but NOT by enemy action. 71.207.200.243 21:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's an error! O'Bannon was not torpedoed during the Battle of Vella Lavella. I am gonna change that --TMX-Mike (talk) 10:24, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It should be USS Coral Sea (CVE-57) 1944 renamed Anzio --TMX-Mike (talk) 10:38, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
