Hi Kudpung.

I'm an associate professor from the University of Alicante (Spain). I'm working on Land subsidence (the gradual sinking of ground surface due to different causes as fluid extraction, natural consolidation of sediments, etc.). I'm involved in this non-profit working group from the UNESCO that is focused on this topic. I looked for in Wikipedia information about this working group that exists from 1975 and I didn't find any information. Global warming (and the subsequent elevation of sea level) and the overexploitation of groundwater resources are spreading this phenomenon throughout the world affecting more and more land areas which are more susceptible to flooding. Thus, I think it is interesting to include this entry in wikipedia to make the WGLS more accessible to people affected by this phenomenon and as the aim of the WGLS indicated to "promotes and facilitates the international exchange of information regarding the design, implementation and evaluation of risk assessments and mitigation measures, and the definition of resource-management strategies that support sustainable development in areas vulnerable to land-level lowering".
