I just thought I'd point out that Bruce Buffer announced the fight between Belfort and Akiyama ended at 1:52 of the 1st round.

GSP and Silva[edit]

Dana White has said that if GSP and Silva were to fight it would more then likely take place at Cowboys Stadium. Do not be adding that the fight would be taking place here.

Yesterday, MMAJunkie.com reported a story that said Dana White said that the GSP/Silva "super fight" was not currently on the UFC's Radar. I don't have access to internet outside of Wikipedia here at work, but if you go to MMAJunkie.com, the title of their article reads: "Silva vs. St-Pierre, Silva vs. Jones "super fights" not currently on UFC's radar". Therefore, I'd like to add that I do not believe this fight will take place at UFC 133 and second the motion that this not be mentioned on the UFC 133 article at all. Rumored fights[edit]

I noticed that Rashad/Jones and Silva/Okami were added as rumored fights to this card with no reference as to where this information is coming from. I'd like to keep rumored fights out of articles until an MMA website such as Sherdog or MMAJunkie reports it in one of their articles. Therefore, I'm adding a citation needed flag to these rumors and removing them in 48 hours if nothing has been sourced by then. Funny enough, the very first sentence states: "Sources say".... really? Rashad vs. Jones was actually planned as the headliner of this event, but Jones has just pulled out due to injury. Rashad's next opponent will apparently be Phil Davis, so I've just read from reliable sources (John Morgan of MMA Junkie). Evans vs Davis to headline?[edit]

Bah! UFC.com had the event listed as UFC 133 Evans vs Davis when they officially put it up on the site last night. Today, on the other hand, it is listed as UFC 133 Philadelphia.

I also noticed the change to Evans vs Davis on this site (which I think has just been changed back to UFC 133 while I've been typing this...), as well as the change where it states that the Aldo vs Mendes title bout was previously rumored to take place at this event, as was Edgar vs Maynard. This page was my first MMA stop of the day, so I apologize if this is already common news. The card is stacked, which is all the more reason that it desperately needs a title shot to headline!

Are there any new rumors as to who the headliners may be? Where was it said that the Aldo/Mendes and Edgar/Maynard fights were no longer in talk? Biznob (talk) 18:38, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is any question that it will be Evans and Davis, since the event is called Evans vs. Davis. That being said, this card is loaded even without Aldo/Mendes.Ppt1973 (talk) 18:44, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Machida's demand for money[edit]

The article cites that Machida's camp declined to fight due to the time constraints but one of the two sources cited suggests it was due to money. According to Dana White, Machida initially accepted the fight and then later made a demand for "Anderson Silva" money. I'm not suggesting what's written should be erased but should we really be citing two sources and concealing that the statement is only backed by one them? That seems highly dishonest to me. Wikipedia, in my experience, has a lot of problems in mma (probably sports in general, though I couldn't say) due to editing by fans of particular fighters.
