U.S. Route 67 in Texas[edit]

Can someone start a U.S. Route 67 in Texas article? Currently there are two sections of this highway in Texas that are freeways, one in San Angelo, Texas and the other from Midlothian, Texas to Dallas. There is about to be a third in Cleburne, Texas on the Cleburne Bypass/Catherine P. Raines Drive. Work started around November 2010 and should be complete around mid to late 2013. The improvements include extending the highway from 2 to 4 lanes, making it a divided highway, and building interchanges. Mes tex (talk) 03:30, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is also original research until I see a citation. An official source (Texas Department of Transportation) would be a valid source for such a statement and would cause me to remove the tag.

Some US highways violate this norm, including US 6 in California, US 62 in New York and Pennsylvania, and US 68 in Ohio. I would excuse topography (mountains and shores) or short stretches intended to serve a population center. US 66 in Illinois (a north-south route) was marked "Chicago" and "St. Louis" as directions.
