Todo[edit]

I'm opposed to merging this, but can for starters stuff from the JMA BT be included like other 80s articles? YE Pacific Hurricane 00:24, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but where are they found at? HurricaneGonzalo | Talk | Contribs 10:37, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here. YE Pacific Hurricane 13:27, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I expanded what I could, and fixed some errors. HurricaneGonzalo | Talk | Contribs 21:00, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Good start. Add more from the JTWC ATCR - should have both MH and impact. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:52, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't located on that PDF. It could be on the 1979 document by mistake. HurricaneGonzalo | Talk | Contribs 00:08, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the 1979 ATCR. YE Pacific Hurricane 01:19, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Move request[edit]

It would make more sense if this were to be labelled up as 1979, instead of 1978 since the system was classified in 1979 not 1978.Jason Rees (talk) 02:07, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok this is a hairy case. JMA, the modern day RMSC, has this forming December 31. But also has this labeled as 197901. Plus this was named in 1979, so you may be right here. YE Pacific Hurricane 02:52, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah 12 hours as a JMA TD. I think we have decided that following Agaton's predence Alice should be in OS in 1978 PTS and given the main section in 1979. Especially since we are talking about 12 hours in which it was a JMA TD in 1978 - during which most of the Pacific were kicking 1979 off.Jason Rees (talk) 03:34, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good call JR as always. Will move in a few seconds. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:41, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I did some maneuvering but wouldn't get this to move. Pinging @Hurricanehink: to finish the job. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:45, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
