German usage of the two-finger salute

In Germany, the younger scouts also use the two- finger salute. I don't have a source, but in our troop "Stamm Las Casas" from Erftstadt, near to Cologne, the Juffis and the Wölflinge used it. For us, the two lower ages are the two fingers. It is like the thumb cares for the smallest finger and the other finger cares for the thumb. (To explaun it: in Germany, scouts are divided into ages. From 8 - 11 you are a Wölfling, from 12 to 14 you are a Juffi, from 14 to 16 you are a pfadi and from 16 to 21 you are a Rover. Pfadi is short for Pfadfinder that translates to scout in English. Juffi is short for Jungpfadfinder which translates to Young Scouts.) In Germany, you also never do a full salute because of the past. You also never wear a pure-black scarf or a scarf under the neck part of your uniform. 2A0A:A540:F927:0:5015:E481:6D46:A802 (talk) 20:24, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
