List of notable residents[edit]

Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. The common selection criteria for lists of people in settlment articles is that every entry be notable. This is in accordance with the guidelines for structuring articles about settlments. Unlinked or red-linked entries are acceptable only if reliable sources are referenced demonstrating that the entry is notable, and could have a stand alone article if someone cared to write one.

All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable. In other words, readers must be able to check that the information comes from a published reliable source. In a list of notable residents, even entries that have pre-existing articles require references that demonstrate that the entry belongs on the list - that the person was at some point a resident of the settlement - and that support anything else written about them in the list (such as when they were a resident).

List entries that are not notable and/or for which no references are provided to prove their connection with Tungipara have been archived to the article history. Entries may be added back if references are provided. For how to write citations, see citing sources. --Worldbruce (talk) 20:58, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
