Previous/Next station template[edit]

I've changed the Previous/Next station template from:

Preceding station	Heritage railways			Following station
Dinas Junction		Welsh Highland Railway		Rhostryfan (Disused) and Waunfawr

To:

Preceding station	Heritage railways		Following station
Dinas Junction		Welsh Highland Railway	Waunfawr
	Historical railways
Dinas Junction		Bryngwyn Branch	Rhostryfan

Which I think shows the situation better. I'm still not 100% as it does still imply that the Tryfan Junction is still open as part of the restored WHR. An alternative would be:

Preceding station	Historical railways		Following station
Dinas Junction		Welsh Highland Railway	Waunfawr
	Historical railways
Dinas Junction		Bryngwyn Branch	Rhostryfan

However this implies that the line through the station is no longer open. What is the best thing to do? This would effect a lot of the stations on the WHR as almost every station does not have the same previous & next stations on the restored WHR as the original WHR. Try this for size(!) Tryfan junction os no longer an active station. Therefore it would not have a box under "Heritage railway". It would have one box. for "Historical Railway with the form as the third option above. It is stated in the text that it is no longer an active station Keith 22:43, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've found a guide for what they are supposed to be used for on the UK Railways WikiProject. "Historical Rail" is for historical services over tracks still in use (e.g. Betws Garmon) and "Disused Rail" for stations on disused lines (e.g. Rhostryfan) Zabdiel (talk) 14:51, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I adde this to WHR(Talk) then came here to find that you already had done it - Right on brother!

It is getting wiki-pedantic, but you are right. And therefore the box on Tryfan Junction page would be i) Dinas<-Historical->Waunfawr and ii) jumnction<-disused->Rhostryfan for the Bryngwyn branch Keith 18:08, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Planned reopening date edit[edit]

Some IP placed "the planned re-opening in 2010" in the text.

At this time, there is no plan to open in 2010. Currently the building is only a shell, and requires a considerable amount of work to be done on it. Due to its location, it will be similar to Dduallt railway station on the Festiniog Railway, as it is so far removed from normal traffic.

There was a "first scheduled train" that stopped at the location on the 1st May 2010, but this was a singular, private WHHG members only event. see here for photos of this event, and here for details of the rebuild. See the main entry - the building was completed inside and out in 2014. Various cosmetic improvements continue to be made to the building and the site generally eg the large container was relocated to Betws Garmon in August 2016. The plan is for the building to be open for special events such as 'Super Power' in September 2016.
