Official name[edit]

The article notes that the school is named for both Harry and Bess... and these signs:

refer to the school as simply Truman High School. Is the official name of the school Truman High School or Harry S. Truman High School? Perhaps the article needs to be renamed. ***ENDelt260 20:11, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Harry S. Truman High School (Independence) → Truman High School (Independence) — School was named after the Truman Family, and not specifically Harry S. Truman. The correct name of the school is Truman High School. [1] --Deltadwn (talk) 16:15, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support It's kind of vague as to the particular reason the school was named as such, but press materials do indicate that only the name "Truman" is used.[2] Ham Pastrami (talk) 20:59, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
