Article Usefulness
I don't know much about this anime, but my problem is this article is all but useless to me. What I see here is a great resource for anyone who follows Trinity Blood - but what about someone who just wants to know what the show is about? There needs to be a paragraph, at the top, explaining the series' premise further. I really don't want to read about all the characters just to get a handle on this thing, and I doubt other users will.
The information in the previous edition is very inaccurate, need a big fix up.

- I second that. I will see if the people form the forum I am in can add some details to this page. TB has a lot background information that needs explaining before people can understand the whole story. And I must point out, this page uses information based mainly on the animation, no the novel. Reception
Can anyone provide facts about the reception of the various inceptions of the series? The novel is Seinen, but the manga is released in Asuka and as such clearly Shoujo. enini

Can anyone confirm whether or not Crusnik is spelled as such or as Krusnik?

There appears to be a fair amount of information here that does not relate to the anime as far as am I aware of the story, e.g. Caterina and Tres joinig the Rosenkreuz Orden. Assuming this information comes from the manga or the novels, then it should be on those pages or on the canon page, not here. Shiroi Hane 14:19, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- If the anime and novel descriptions must be in separate articles, then following Wikipedia naming precedence convention, the main Trinity Blood article should describe the novel, since it is the origin of the series. But I'm not convinced they need to be in separate articles--most other series such as Slayers etc. are not broken into different articles. pfahlstrom 21:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- At the time I wrote the conmment there was a line that read "this article is based on the anime" at the top of the page, there is an article specifically about the novels, Trinity Blood (novel), and there was also Trinity Blood Canon (which has been deleted). - It would probably be helpful to differentiate between the release of the Trinity Blood manga and the translated version of the original novels, which are two seperate books entirely. Instead of listing the manga, which is stated to already be released, under the novel release section, it would be more informative to put it under a manga release category. trivia
the character in the first episode named jessica is very much like viki from the video game suikoden, they both look alike,they are clumsy and they both have some way of transporting one place to another (with the fact that jessica can pilot an airship) and the only thing is, is that jessica is smarter than viki.
plot
After reading this article, I have a good idea of the characters and the setting, but I have almost no idea what any of these people are doing and how they're all involved in an interconnected story. Can somebody with knowledge of Trinity Blood add a plot section to explain what's going on?

Methuselahs = result of nanotechnology rather then virus?
I have recently found [this translation] which implies that the "virus" responisble for Metuselahs' existence is nanomechanical in origin.

Technically, the reason why Methuseluhs are vampiric is due to a specialized mutant bacteria (known as Bacillus) rather than a virus or nanomachine. However, the Crusniks use highly advanced semi-sentient nanomachines instead (hence their lack of vampiric weaknesses), and the Bacillus was originally created [by said nanomachines] to act as a food source [for said nanomachines]. --Zenosaga 21:22, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

- Most of the songs are on a CD with a title something like Trinity Blood OST: TB_Music File. The songs for the opening and closing are available on their respective singles. Note that the opening theme was not composed by Takahito Eguchi like the closing and score, and that a couple of notable songs from the score are not on the album. --E Liquere 22:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Any news on another season?
So does anyone have any news on whether there will be another season? It ended with one of the biggest cliffhangers of any anime I've ever seen. They could at least make a movie... Link's Awakening 06:59, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Regarding Vows
In Trinity Blood, the current pope and those two cardinals are the children of the previous pope, plus a number of clergy (such as Noelle) have made sexual advances. Does the vatican still have compulsory vows of celibacy? Is it no longer required or do they just regularly violate it?
Byzantium The Empire Capital?
Wasn't Byzantium just the place that connected the two nations?

In the scene where he's captured and shot with the bullet which turns him hyper-vampiric, and he's begging what's-her-face to kill him, he *appears* to have blade-like claws. Demographic

- The Trinity Blood novels are seinen. The manga version is shojo. Anime series don't have demographics, hence it not being in the infobox. If one were to guess, it would probably closer to shonen or seinen. AnmaFinotera (talk) 01:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- There was a big long talk about it in the project's MOS, which is resulting in the demographic field being removed from the main box and put only in the manga and light novels. The basic gist of it is that such demographic choices are not generally declared by the original companies and there is no way to really say what the target demographic was. Manga demographics comes from the magazines they are serialized in, while unfortunately light novels have been reduced to only allowing "male" and "female" as their demographic (which I disagree with myself, as light novel magazines can also be seinen, shonen, et al.). - Wait a minute. How can the manga be shojo? It always said before that it was shonen and even the novels are for males. It does not make sense and the Trinity Blood manga is not even remotely shojo. Just because the characters are feminine looking and Kyujyo Kiyo is a female does not mean it is shojo. I know because I have read it. - Trinity Blood's manga was serialized in a shojo magazine. That is the sole determiner of whether it is shojo, not the author nor the appearance of the character. AnmaFinotera (talk) 21:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Novel demographic
I don't feel we should label the light novel as "male", as it's too vague a demographic to give. We should wait until an idea is settled before changing it to either shounen or seinen. I made the mistake earlier of changing it to seinen before realising that there was a dispute over whether or not it is seinen or shounen. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 23:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

- There are light novels aimed at teenage boys, and they are mentioned by the publisher as so, in this case I would like to use: demographic = teenage boys, or even use shounen. like Ginban Kaleidoscope and Happy Seven, but to avoid any more heated discussions using male is fine with me too. --ChuChu (talk) 12:04, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

- My eventual goal is FA, however the novels and manga are still coming out here, hence my not pressing towards it too rapidly as I want it to be complete and accurate. The novels are the primary medium, but currently the plot and characters are almost exclusively anime focused as it the anime was licensed and released here first. Words from European languages used in Trinity Blood
There are lots of words from various European languages used in Trinity Blood.
- I live in Slovenia and I know for certain that the word "dinar" used for currency was also the currency in Slovenia, while it was still part of Yugoslavia (until 1991).
- The name "Mother Laura Vitez" (the one who raised Sister Esther) also uses a Slovenian word - "vitez" means "knight" in Slovenian.
- The word "Crusnik" probably stems from the word "Kresnik" in Slovenian and Croatian lore (I read this explanation in the anime).
- The name "Count Zagreb" - Zagreb is the capitol city of Croatia.
Should this information be mentioned in the article? Perhaps native speakers of other European languages could identify even more such words? JinJi (talk) 17:28, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't be. I have read the WP:NOTAFORUM article and how it says that the talk page is the place for making the article better and for relevant items for discussion; that is why I asked the question. To may be see if anyone knew an relation between two different works and how they might have been a significant connection in character or concept design.
