Constrictor vs. strangler[edit]

In the picture is a constrictor, not a strangler. Here (www.ehow.com/video_4468146_tie-transom-knot.html) is another example. And here http://www.realknots.com/knots/constric.htm are both of them. Nodurosul (talk) 13:58, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, that's right. There was an edit a couple months ago that changed it from the constrictor. I've fixed it -- thanks for pointing out the problem... --Dfred (talk) 21:13, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE: As pointed out in recent edits, there is some confusion when dicussing the transom. Unfortunately I fell prey to this in my earlier statements. Sorry about that. I have identified some additional references that may help and will attempting to further clarify the article. --Dfred (talk) 16:03, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I was wrong, topologically is as strangler as it can be, even if the "riding part" is constrictor-like. I guess admiting it after more than four years is better that not admiting it at all :) Nodurosul (talk) 10:46, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
