Township strategic plan and trivia section[edit]

I do not think the names of the members of the planning commission need to be in the article and have removed them. The WP:MOS also says the plan should be a reference (not a direct external link labeled "click here"). WP:TRIVIA also says Trivia sections are to be avoided - since the trivia section is on the name of the township, I renamed it to Etymology. Please discuss these changes here before reverting again. The names posted are not planning commission members. As members of the first ever "Strategic Planning committee", a one year appointment, they are the initial drafters of the first "strategic plan" the township ever had; this was an historic event for the Township. It is like the names of the founders who drafted the constitution. The township mgr and the two supervisors names are not mentioned in the plan. Wikipedia is full of names, and these are relevant. As you said, “you do not think”, and I don’t think you were thinking either. This was a rookie mistake.
Next point, if the strategic plan is in the references, the average person will not find it. I had it both ways, and the “Click here” is more obvious for finding the plan. I have seen this in a lot of other places.
As for the Triva changes, it lacks the local touch, but we'll live with them.
What happened to the Towamencin Trail map pic? It was there for months.

Would you like to ask for a Third Opinion on inlcusion of the names and how to link the strategic plan? We would both have to agree to abide by the decision of the neutral third party. I fail to see how naming a section "Trivia" and trying to clean it up to meet MOS guidelines removes a local touch. Do you have a reference for the first assertion (the name means poplar)? As for the trail map, please read the edit summary: remove deleted trails map image, copy vio from http://www.towamencin.org/ParksandRec/trails.htm Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 14:09, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Whatever else I am (I make lots of mistakes), I do not think I am a rookie here.
I have added the names of the drafters to the reference for the strategic plan as authors. WP:CITE is fine with listing authors in references, sorry not to have thought of it sooner. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 19:58, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted trail map[edit]

I deleted the image file File:Towamencin Trails.jpg as it was clearly copied from the Towamencin Township web page (see http://www.towamencin.org/ParksandRec/trails.htm ) but was licensed using the {{PD-Self}} license. I deleted it under CSD I9 which says: Blatant copyright infringement. The image was copied from a website or other source that does not have a license compatible with Wikipedia, and the uploader does not assert (other than through image tags) that it is public domain, freely licensed, fair use, or used with permission. Sources that do not have a license compatible with Wikipedia include stock photo libraries such as Getty Images or Corbis. Blatant infringements should be tagged with the {{Db-imgcopyvio}} template. Non-blatant copyright infringements should be discussed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. If anyone believes I am in error, please take this to WP:DRV (deletion review).
