Oricon recently stated [Maybe a week or two ago] Ayumi Hamasaki is the highest selling female and solo artist in Japanese history. Overall, she is the 4th Best selling artist ever in Japanese history. Look it up on oricon if you want ~~ She has sales in Excess of 45,000,000 and averages selling about 5,000,000 a year. She sold about 30,000,000 in her first 3 years, and about 15,000,000 in her last 6. (Impracticable 22:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the "plenty of superstar idols who preceded her" were pretty famous but she still managed to outsell all of them. Seiko Matsuda and Namie Amuro were pretty close but she still outsold them, all the old ones, and even Hikki. ― LADY GALAXY ★彡Refill/lol 18:44, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
