my name is Shane O'Connor I was born at wentworthville n.s.w lived in toongabbie 2 Marcia st 1941 till 1952 moved to binalong rd pendle hill in toongabbie there was brodies general store later they purchased land opposite park and built tennis courts I started school in catholic school I think catholic church there know next to that there was a bakery to surply bread to aerea in those days there was only steam trains as elec trains stopped at Parramatta I remember people standing at west end of playform for train to leave and getting covered in steam as train pulled from station there was no footbridge in those days what a wonderfull place to grow up in — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.168.85.56 (talk) 02:04, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
