Who told whom?[edit]

The article stated before that Carcetti told Theresa D'Agostino that he could use his friend's candidacy to split the Black vote with the Mayor. As I recall, D'Agostino's the one who made that suggestion, and he was uneasy about it. Big difference. --Davecampbell 21:03, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you are correct it was the other way around.--Jersey Devil 18:16, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First appearance?[edit]

I believe he was seen at the party in season 2! The camera just lingered onto him for 30 seconds or so...!

Is there any connection[edit]

to Tommy Vercetti? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Simpsonary (talkcontribs) 18:44, 9 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

No, just a coincidence that their names are somewhat similar. --Goosedoggy 19:08, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inspiration for the charater[edit]

There seems to be some (wishful) thinking on both the O'Malley page and here that the Carcetti characte is based on O'Malley. The similaraties between the controversies of fictional Mayor Royce's "Comstat" program and O'Malley's "CitiStat" programs aside, series creator David Simon himself said that O'Malley is one of many inspirations for the character. The quote has been sourced and the article edited to reflect this information. --Goosedoggy 19:08, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The ministers"[edit]

Does anybody know what this phrase refers to? --Padraic 22:10, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It referes to the coalition of politically influential, African American, church ministers that support Burrell. They include Reverend Reid Franklin, Frank Reid and the reverend that Herc assaults. Carcetti meets with them during his campaign and their sway over voters is an influencing factor on many of his decisions as Mayor.--Opark 77 (talk) 01:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

carcetti's occupation[edit]

shouldn't his occupation be governor of maryland in the infobox? other characters (daniels, pearlman, rawls) have their occupations matching the changes shown in the last montage of the final episode so surely carcetti's should also? i'm new to wp so didn't want to make the changes wrong but would appreciate if someone else could —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.162.113.51 (talk) 08:13, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Correct pronunciation is "kar-che-tee", not "kar-ke-tee"[edit]

In Italian, the 'c' has a sound of English 'ch', and 'ch' has the sound of English 'k'. The phonetic in the article is incorrect. Even though pretty everyone much pronounces it incorrectly, isn't the purpose of specifying the phonetic to explain how the name should be pronounced? --Pinnecco (talk) 21:15, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
