Untitled[edit]

Really looks like the work of a publicist/agent/manager. More likely the work of dear Tom himself, given the quality. 122.107.27.188 (talk) 08:00, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just completed a major overhaul of the article. Reads alot better now. -- Ianblair23 (talk) 14:06, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Any relation[edit]

Does anyone know if Gleeson is related to Mr Thomas Patrick GLEESON (1895 - 1975), a member of New South Wales Legislative Council from 23 April 1946 right up until his death on 25 November 1975? -- Ianblair23 (talk) 14:19, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bachelor of Science?[edit]

Are you sure Tom Gleeson studied Physics and Mathematics at university? He comes across as by no means an intellectual, so I would very much doubt that he studied to be a physicist. Besides, it would make no sense to begin a mediocre career in entertainment straight after studying to be a physicist and the only reference listed there goes to his own myspace page; hardly a trustworthy source of information. That may be a shallow perspective. A lot of comedians are capable of being funny due to their wit/intellect. There are even comedians with PhDs, take Dave Bloustien for example. He is very well known for his intellect and use of it. I have interviewed Tom Gleeson in the past and can say that his on-stage performance should not be used to pass judgement on his intellect or sophistication. Making people laugh whilst on stage merely happens to involve coming across as an idiot at times. 202.124.88.8 (talk) 03:03, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am Tom Gleeson[edit]

To answer the above queries ... I don't know who wrote the original article but I did correct it. I was born in Gunnedah not Tambar Springs for example. The state politician Thomas Patrick Gleeson that you write about is my grandfather after who I was named. Also, I did complete a degree in Science majoring in Mathematics and Physics. I changed to comedy because even a mediocre career in entertainment is more fun and pays better than being a Physicist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.148.156.16 (talk) 02:03, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
