Untitled[edit]

I didn't write it, but I think there is something notable about teaching a film workshop. It shows the guy is still working in the field and decided to teach a bit.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.253.172.209 (talkcontribs)

Factually incorrect synopsis for Fear, Anxiety, and Depression[edit]

This article's synopsis of Solondz's first feature-length film strongly suggests that the author has never seen it. Although the film is bookended with letters to and from Samuel Beckett, the famous playwright plays no other role in the plot. A better summary would be something along the lines of: "An episodic comedy about a fledgling playwright and his frustrating interactions with the opposite sex. The film's fractured narrative structure and casual relationship with the "fourth wall" are somewhat reminiscent of Annie Hall, a far cry from the more astringent and naturalistic surface Solondz has been moving towards ever since. Characterizations are broader than viewers of Solondz's more deadpan later films might expect. The film contains several musical interludes. Stanley Tucci is outstanding in an early role." Sexuality[edit]

Is there a source that clarifies his sexuality? Pinchofhope 10:25, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think he's hetrosexual. http://out.com/detail.asp?page=2&id=27199 Matthew Fennell (talk) 21:40, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Happiness DVD cover.jpg[edit]

Image:Happiness DVD cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Dark[edit]

That's a meaningless term used by non competents. It should be replaced with something else.--BMF81 09:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Atheist[edit]

"Solondz is an atheist. In The A.V. Club's article "Is There a God?", he answered the question "Well, me, I'm an atheist, so I don't really believe there is. But I suppose I could be proven wrong."[4] That would make him agnostic. I believe that this quote is taken out of context, in regards to the first sentence. To me it sounds like a tongue in cheek way of avoiding the answer to a direct question. If his religion or lack of it needs to be addressed, I believe it should read, "Solondz is agnostic...", given the following quote with footnote. If his works are to be considered as atheistic, there should be a lot more notation proving it. I, personally, do not get that impression from his films. Just my 2 cents. Not meant as a slam against atheists; they're okay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.141.185 (talk) 06:59, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
